FRESIA Assistant Project (FAP) - Technical and Design Department
The Technical and Design Department is the link between the window and door manufacturer and the Construction Company and/or Designer, providing free technical and design consultancy.
It supports Designers and Construction Companies from the early design stages, concluding with the identification of the most suitable fabricator for project execution.

Support Phases:

SAFETY: Technical support highlights the importance of safety—too often underestimated—by identifying the window and door system only after calculating the profile inertia.

PERFORMANCE: Legal requirements for windows and doors concern thermal and acoustic performance, resistance to wind, water and air permeability, tested in laboratories (ITT tests). The Technical and Design Department assists Designers and Construction Companies in correctly interpreting the results, based on extension criteria and similar design, and validating their reliability.

SUSTAINABILITY AND CIRCULAR ECONOMY: A constantly evolving subject. The Technical and Design Department is committed to continuous updates to better support Designers and Construction Companies, providing the correct Environmental Product Declarations (EPD) and/or project certifications such as CRADLE TO CRADLE.

SPECIFICATION DRAFTING: The Technical and Design Department supports Designers in drafting technical specifications in compliance with safety and regulations: inertia, air, water, wind, thermal, acoustic, burglary resistance, hinge load capacity, escape routes, emergency exits, and sustainability.

CHOOSING THE MOST SUITABLE FABRICATOR: The Technical and Design Department helps Designers and Construction Companies identify the most qualified fabricator to ensure high-quality execution.

TRAINING AND INFORMATION: Training courses (with CFP credits), conferences, and university seminars are among the tools used by the Technical and Design Department to train and inform Designers, either directly in their offices or at Fresia Alluminio headquarters, complemented by visits to the production plant.
